An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit the capital of Iraq, Baghdad, early on Sunday morning, and August 26, 2018.
No casualties have been reported according to Reuters, which announced that an earthquake shook the capital Baghdad and other provinces, including Arbil, Sulaymaniyah, Diyala and Dahuk.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has also reported a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that striked Iran, originating 55 miles from Bakhtaran, the capital of Kermanshah Province, located 525 kilometres from the capital Tehran.
